Decision-making structure


The General Assembly gathers all the UIC associations in order to make decisions concerning the main lines of the professional action and to discuss the proposals submitted by the board. The board is composed of 25 company managers who seat as representatives of sector or regional associations. The decisions are made by an executive committee and implemented by the chief executive officer.

The Board consists of 26 individuals:
  • 25 business leaders, acting as representatives of companies, trade associations and regional UIC branches. Decisions are drafted by an Executive Committee and implemented by the Director General;
  • One representative from the scientific (chemical) community.

About fifty experts - including engineers, economists, corporate lawyers, social relations specialists, international trade specialists and communications specialists - work in the federation under the authority of the chief executive officer. The staff of experts is distributed among several departments.
