Economy affairs

The constant mutations of the economic environment in which member companies evolve, as well as the need to be competitive on an international level, influence the UIC's actions.

Economic outlook and surveys - statistics

The UIC studies the economic situation of the chemical industry on the national, European and international levels. These outlook and surveys are used as reference work within the trade as well as without, and give a dynamic and prospective vision of the chemical and parachemical industries.

The working-out and the processing of statistical data - economic databases, company surveys - enable companies to choose what slot they want to fill on the market and are an essential tool used to work out their strategies.

International trade

The UIC follows the evolution of the markets and the emergence of new economic operators. It analyses every change and its impact on the chemical industry, and operates in the context of multilateral negotiations, local agreements, price changes, regulation and trade policy instruments elaboration, as well as e-trade expansion.

World-wide expansion

The UIC helps the international expansion of chemical manufacturers by organising partnerships and programmes that make access to certain areas - such as central and eastern Europe or China - easier. It also promotes the French supply of chemical products and represents the companies to international authorities and foreign missions.
